SNTC Carbon Reduction

Net Zero Emissions

Over 130 countries have already set a target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions to net-zero by 2050.

To establish a carbon pricing system in Taiwan and promote steady carbon reduction, the implementation of the carbon fee system marks Taiwan's official entry into the era of carbon pricing.

Currently, Taiwan will levy a carbon fee rate of NT$300 (approximately US$9.3) on specific industries with carbon emission over 2.5 tons in sum of the abovementioned.

 

 ISO 14064:2018   Greenhouse Gas(GHG) Organization Verification

SNTC has made a year of 2023 voluntarily check of greenhouse gas emissions in compliance with ISO/CNS-14064-1 in 2024.

  • In 2023, a total greenhouse gas emissions are 1,129 tons CO2e.

       The direct greenhous gas emissions 60.4387 tons CO2e

       Indirect greenhouse gas emissions 1,096 tons CO2e

  • In 2024, a total greenhouse gas emissions are 1,556 tons CO2e.

 

 ISO 14067:2018   Carbon Footprint

SNTC has obtained 12" recycled wafer box of ISO 12067:2018 product carbon footprint in 2024. The entire product life cycle of the cleaning and recycling wafer box from cradle to gate was conducted by a third-party verification company.

We believe in conducting carbon verification will continue to do carbon reduction and optimize service process, which is hoping to fulfill social responsibilities in the industry chains.
